Carefully selected by Salvatori (@salvatori_official) for its wonderful aesthetic and structural properties, Gris du Marais® is a tribute to the tradition of Italian design from the 1930s-’50s: its precious texture evokes the typical processing of masterpieces of Giò Ponti, Giovanni Muzio, Piero Portaluppi and Adalberto Libera, major players of an era in which the elegance of spotted and veined marbles pervaded the Italian architecture.

Gris du Marais® has a unique structure, recognizable at a glance, thanks to the incredible amount of minerals involved: the richness of micro hairlines, striping and millimeter-sized speckles give this classic marble an imprint of natural elegance. At every change of light, this stone presents different nuances, making itself suitable for creating spaces with consistent neutral tones, but never the same.

Gris du Marais® can be combined in various solutions, both chromatic and stylistic: close to dark tones for a beautiful industrial design, as well as light tones and wood for a Scandinavian style, in a perfect balance between aesthetics and elegance.

This marble is featured by a very high coefficient of flexural strength and abrasion resistance and it is recommended for intense foot traffic interior paving. Moreover, Gris du Marais® has a very low coefficient of absorption and can be used in the most challenging spaces within the house: bathroom and kitchen.
