Cardoso Stone is a dark grey metamorphic sandstone with bluish reflections and white veins. It is extracted in modest quantities in very small quarries near Cardoso/Stazzema, in the province of Lucca, and it is a material that boasts a long tradition of applications in the local architecture. Cardoso stone has become famous in the world also for the technical characteristics which allow a wide range of applications.

Suitable for flooring and coatings in rigid environments (it is not a stone frost), is used in landscaping and urban furniture. For interiors, the uniform and intense color makes it a perfect stone for both clean design and styles more related to the past. Also in facade coverings it is frequently used for its durability and its maintenance of color over time.
